Groups

We hope to launch groups once we have established a regular rhythm of Sunday worship, perhaps around Easter of 2026.

In our Groups, we hope to cultivate Belonging; a place to be face to face with God, ourselves, and our neighbors as we are found in Christ.

We operate groups as seasonal communities which allow for spiritual friendships to form around the table.

Groups are centered around a liturgy which mirrors our Sunday gathering. In it we gather, hear from God’s word, respond, feast, and are sent out.

These liturgies are seasonal, which means 1) they reflect the season of the church calendar we’re in, and 2) they are temporary, allowing for frequent on-ramps and off-ramps so you can reevaluate your needs and bandwidth.

We see groups as a place for cultivating spiritual friendships—people with whom you may not share much in common in an earthly sense, but with whom you can share deep community because of what you hold in common in Christ. Spiritual friends are people who care about you as a whole person: mind, heart, soul, and strength, and want to see you flourish in those things in Christ.

Groups are not the only way to cultivate belonging in the church. Also consider our church Events or come to Coffee Hour after service.

Groups are not our primary pathway to apprenticing ourselves to Jesus, though these friends may help you along the way. If you’re looking to grow in in the formation of new habits, we would recommend a Rule of Life to you.

The Rockford Mission is a plant of Cornerstone Tulsa. We are a part of Churches for the Sake of Others (C4SO), a diocese of the Anglican Church in North America, which is built on five key values: Kingdom, Spirit, Formation, Mission, and Sacrament.
