Serve Sunday - 5/31

Each week, in our post-communion prayer, we pray:
And now, Father, send us out to do the work you have given us to do, to love and serve you as faithful witnesses of Christ our Lord.

Ultimately, the communion table is a place where we are filled so that we can be emptied in service of others. We are trying to embrace this principle by setting aside Sunday, May 31 as a day of service.

In lieu of our typical gathering, we will receive communion and then immediately be commissioned out to fulfill a number of service projects, in the church building and the neighborhood.

You can sign up to serve at the button below, or we will have plenty of things to help keep you busy. Note that it is a good Sunday to wear something you can work in!
